MOBAW Live Brief Project- First Thoughts

For this project, we are working with the director of The Museum of Bath at Work to design and produce a new leaflet, as part of their promotional material. After the client meeting, I found out that the leaflet was one of the most popular advertising methods that the museum use. This means that the leaflet needs to be clear, interesting, eye-catching and engaging.

We got a lot of information on the museum itself, but not so much on the actual design element of the leaflet. This will make it a little bit difficult to come up with a first draft, as I am not entirely sure what the client likes or wants. Although I do have an idea on what audience I am going to target, as the director had some statistics of the age groups of visitors that attend the museum. These were mostly older local residents, so I would like to attract mainly tourists, as well as international students of all ages to visit the museum. This would hopefully lift the visiting numbers and make the museum on the list of things to do when visiting Bath.

My expectations for this project will be a complete and finalised leaflet, with lots of information about the museum and why you should visit. It will be clear and understandable, stand out from the museum's competitors and attract people to visit The Museum of Bath at Work.
